BAGHDAD, Sept 22 (KUNA) — Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki called on Sunday for the development of bilateral relations and cooperation with the State of Kuwait.
Al-Maliki, in a statement after receiving Kuwait’s Ambassador in Baghdad Ali Al-Mumen on occasion of ending his tenure, emphasized “importance of the development of relations between Iraq and Kuwait in all domains, and need of continuing cooperation to serve common interest of the two countries and people.” Al-Mumen voiced content for the level of cooperation between Kuwait and Iraq.
He wished relations would witness more progress.
Iraqi foreign minister Hoshyer Zebari held a farewell reception for Al-Mumen last week.
Zebari commended Al-Mumen for his service which contributed to the development of ties.
